Dwayne Bowman led this week’s lesson on the differences between internal combustion engine (ICE) cars and the new generation of electric vehicles (EV). He also demonstrated the new Tesla Motors S with advanced features like Summon and Autodrive. Students were fascinated by Summon mode: On its own, the car backed out of a parking space, and then it parked itself next to another car. They also learned about a “frunk.” Because the Tesla does not have an internal combustion engine, there is a trunk in the back and a frunk in the front.
We spent the last half hour working our crystal radios and are very close to finishing.
