Great Sunday Meetup!
The Woodlawn Engineering & Robotics Club (WREC) will hold a Meet Up on Sunday, 8 November from 2 to 5 pm in the Lodge. This event will be open to all students and parents. As always, students may participate as much (or as little) as they wish based on interest and availability. We just ask that middle & lower school students bring an adult with them for appropriate supervision.
A Meet Up is like an Open Build – only on the weekend. Students choose how they want to spend their time. Here are some of the options that will be on hand:
a) Plan and collaborate on projects together, e.g., FIRST Tech Challenge, Vex IQ, etc.b) Work on group projects, e.g., Wall-E, WATT, WARS, or WASPc) Work on an individual project, e.g., two-wheeled, Arduino-controlled robotd) Work on a personal project (personal projects can be anything the student is interested in working on)e) Put together bits and pieces imaginatively at the Assembly Tablef) Take apart old electronic devices, e.g., old VCR, computer, etc., at the Dis-assembly Tableg) Explore with Little Bits, do-it-yourself electronics for prototyping and learning
Registration is not required, but your RSVP will help us make sure we have enough of everything on hand. As always, if you have any ideas, suggestions or questions, please do not hesitate to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
